Gentelmans Dynasty
1. League Setup
• The league will consist of 16 teams
• Each team will have one owner
2. Manager Requirements
• Each manager will be required to keep up with all aspects of their team
o This includes keeping rosters up to date and participating in league drafts and votes
3. Franchise Details
• Each Franchise will consist of a ML and Minor league team
• ML Roster
o Each ML roster must consist of 25 players, and will have 5 bench spots and 2 IR spots
• Minor League Roster
o Each Minor League roster may consist of up to 35 players
4. Auction
• Once a GM has joined the league, they need to make their 5 keeper selections from their own team
• Each GM must also select 15 minor leaguers from their organization
• The Auction will begin once all owners have selected their keepers
o Beginning auction bids start at $300,000 and have minimum increments of $100,000
o Once a bid has not been topped for 12 hours, the player is signed by the top bidding owner
• At the same time, we will have a 10 round Minor League Draft to pick players from other orginizations
There is a maximum of 5 active bids at any given time
5. Contracts
• Each team has $125,000,000 for contracts
o Initial contracts will be assigned with 2009 contract values according to mlbcontracts.blogspot.com
o If a player's salary is not on the website, his salary will be $300,000
• Each team has 85 years worth of contracts to be given to their player in any way seen fit
• Any player called up to your ML roster at any point during the season, regardless of duration of stay, is required to be signed to a contract
o Any player sent to the minors will keep the contract assigned to them when they were on the ML roster
• If a player is traded, he will keep the contract that he had with his former team but may have his contract extended up to an extra 3 years as long as the total length of the contract does not exceed 7 years and you are not over the allowed 85 total years
• There will be permanent bonuses given at the end of the year to real life rewards
o MVP Award - $500,000
o Cy Young Award - $400,000
o Silver Slugger - $250,000
o Golden Glove - $200,000
o ROY - $200,000
o $50,000 Interleague Winners
o $50,000 East/West Winners
o $25,000 All-Star Apperance
o $25,000 All-Star MVP
o $25,000 HR Derby Winner
6.In-Season Player Additions
• 2010 and Subsequent Drafts
o We will have a 4 round draft starting the day after the first year player draft each year
o Draft order will be inverse of the finishing order the previous season, and proceed in a straight draft style
• International Additions
o Any international players added signed by a team will be auctioned away following the same rules as offseason free agent auctions
o The winning bid will be counted as the players contract, but no years will be attributed to the player until he is called up and you chose his contract length
• All other minor league prospects can be freely added
• Major league players may be signed during the regular season to contracts based on contracts on mlbcontracts.blogspot.com
7. Player Movement
• Players can be freely moved through the minor league systems as long as they fit the guidelines for the league they are in
• Players on the ML roster at any point begin with 3 options
o Each time a player is sent down from a ML roster, they lose an option
Options reset if a player is traded
o Once a player is out of options, the can be called up freely, but to be sent down, he must go through waivers for 36 hours
Any team may claim him at the current contract he is under
If the player is not claimed off waivers, he is free to be placed on any minor league roster, as long as he fits the guidelines for that league
• Any player released should be placed on the waiver wire, where he will be available to all teams, starting with the team with the highest waiver claim.
o All GM’s looking to claim the player need to reply to the release thread within 36 hours
• Players being placed on the DL need to posted on the DL thread, along with their first available return date
8. Trading
• Trades can be made using any combination of players, draft picks, cash, and cash consideration
o Any unbalanced trade in terms of number of players needs to be accompanied by roster moves to keep rosters under the maximum limits
o Draft picks can be traded up to two drafts ahead
o Cash can be traded for players, with the cash being permanently moved
o Cash considerations can be traded for a certain number of years to help cover contract costs if agreed upon
• All trades are voted on by the 5 member trade council
o Any trades that look suspicious(ex. Pujols for Kendall, straight up) will be put on hold and discussed among the admin
o Once a trade has been finalized, the major leaguers involved in the deal need to be traded on ESPN as well
• The trade deadline is July 31, and trading unlocks after the fantasy playoff season
9. Offseason
• Expiring Contracts
o The two weeks following the fantasy playoff season will be considered the “Restricted Free Agent” period
o Each team may extend up to two contracts per season for up to two years apiece
Once a player’s contract is extended once, it may not be extended again without him becoming a free agent
o All players not extended will become free agents
• Free Agents
o All free agents will be signed via an auction
Auctions will go until a top offer has sat for 24 hours
Players will be offered to an auction by an interested club, and that club must start the bidding at a minimum 25% of that players previous years salary
All teams may take part in the auction and up their offer as many times as they see fit
10. Game Play
• We will follow a 6x6, Head to Head, Most Categories System
o Scoring is R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS, W, K, SV, ERA, WHIP, HD
• The active roster will be one C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, and UTIL, three OF, and 5 SP and 5 RP
• We will have a 12 SP limit per week
• There will be four divisions, the NL East, NL West, AL East, and AL West
• Playoffs will be the last three weeks of the season, with the top team from each division, along with two wild cards from both the NL and AL

A. You can send a major league player to the minors if he has less than 500 at bats or 150 innings pitched. The player has to be under contract and will remain under contract while on the MiLB roster. The player also has to spend a minimum of 15 days on the major league roster before being sent down. Even with the addition of players that fit this criteria, you cannot exceed the maximum 35 players on the MiLB roster.
B. u can sign Minor league eligiible players to your major league roster now but you have to have them under salary and assign a number of years to them, if at some point u want to send them down, their money and years still count for your totals and you use the 1st of 3 options on that player
